I am alive!

You know that you have a soul when you hear some people sing.

I feel like I’m almost home sometimes.

I’m committed to following my heart. I recently found it again. This means practicing music wiith all I’ve got. I feel an intense hope that I left with my childhood but the more that I become in touch with myself, the more I feel it.

I am ready for whatever this entails, ow that I feel in touch with my soul, on the path that I’m supposed to be on. if you don’t live for love, what the hell are you living for? I want my effort where my heart is; not 80% of my time being put towards a second, third, fourth, or generally mediocre choice that gives me the illusion of security. I’m terrified, but I am waking up.

Children are always in the moment. Jesus said so much about being like little children.

The Monica Bird: Men in Tights

fuckyeahhistorycrushes:

This post is dedicated not to a specific figure in history, but rather to the beautiful time period when men proudly bared their legs in a thin layer of silk. Hosen(what a lovely irregular plural) evolved from traditional leg wrappings in the Middle Ages as men began…

Thyroid Cancer & x’rays
We need to pass this on to our daughters, nieces, mothers and all our female friends!! I just did, now you send it on to your list.
Recently, Dr. Oz had a show on the fastest growing cancer in women, thyroid cancer. It was a very interesting program and he mentioned that the increase could possibly be related to the use of dental x-rays and mammograms. He demonstrated that on the apron the dentist puts on you for your dental x-rays there is a little flap that can be lifted up and wrapped around your neck. Many dentists don’t bother to use it. Also, there is something called a “thyroid guard” for use during mammograms. By coincidence, I had my yearly mammogram yesterday. I felt a little silly, but I asked about the guard and sure enough, the technician had one in a drawer. I asked why it wasn’t routinely used. Answer: “I don’t know. You have to ask for it.” Well, if I hadn’t seen the show, how would I have known to ask? Someone was nice enough to forward this to me. I hope you pass this on to your friends and family.

Let go.

Time is sand
You can’t grasp in your hand.

Nothing is yours. You cannot hold on to a single moment. So “live constantly in prayer”, meaning gratefully, meditatively, fully present, and in love… live from your heart. Constantly.

Four-year-old Paige Bennethum really, really didn’t want her daddy to go to Iraq. So much that when Army Reservist Staff Sgt. Brett Bennethum lined up in formation at his deployment this July, she couldn’t let go. No one had the heart to pull her away. Everyone should stop reblogging hipster photos and reblog this, it won’t ruin your ‘type’ of blog.
